Miss Bridie Chose a Shovel by Leslie Connor review by: Cassie

In the book Miss Bridie Chose a Shovel there is wonderful artwork. The pictures explain the story perfectly. This amazing art is done by Mary Azarian. This wonderful picture book has a time line of Miss Bride's life. It shows her different pets and it shows her aging. The first sentence is "She could have picked a chiming clock or a porcelain figurine, but Miss Bridie chose a shovel back in 1856". The picture on this page is of her wondering about what she is going to chose and in the window on the barn is a shovel.. This is a fantastic book because of all the details.
